I have domain hosted on wordpress platform but I am seo guy and not any coding genius. I can ran my website on to the top but I suck at placing ads at good position on my blogs. Usually I end up putting ads on worst places.
If there us any guide out there which can guide me through

A certain amount of Html/CSS/Php is needed to optimally place and display ads, any ads really. It will also depend on what theme you are using and how the templates are coded. Some themes have areas that you can "hook" into and place those ads with simple filters.

If I knew what theme you are using, I could help a little more.

There are a lots of method to display your ads on your wordpress site , it totally depends on the theme you are using. most of the theme now a days have these feature as a built in. But if your wordpress theme does not have these, then you an use ADINJECTION plugin for wordpress. it is one stop solution for displaying ads.

Typically as mentioned above the placement of the ads is subject to the theme, some make it a simple task and others not so............ but usually just a case of dragging the text widget and then review it, I started previously and dragged the text widget to many times which caused me some errors as I thought it hadn't worked so just check after attempts as it caused me some coding errors on my ads

You could use a plugin called "Advertisement Management" so that you can place your ads where you want them.
