It cannot be done free of cost, godaddy will charge 1 year of renewal fee. You need to transfer the domain from your namecheap account to godaddy account.
as it was said above... You can "push" a domain within the same registrar at no charge (most registrars) and it happens instantly. Moving a domain from one registrar to the other requires a (transfer) which will include a 1 year extension, this process normally take about 5-8 days depending on the loosing regiatrar. I have done domain transfers in as little as 4 hours You need to go to the new registrar and create a transfer request for the domain, pay for the tranfer and then you will receive and email to registrant (domain holder info on whois) with instruction on how to complete the transfer.
True...what the above posters have already said. Even when transferring from a Godaddy reseller to Godaddy, you cannot do a "free push". You just have to do a complete transfer. To do a full transfer, you start by going to Godaddy, clicking on "transfer", then typing in the domain and completing the checkout. They will then send the authorization codes and instructions. *To transfer, your have to unlock you domain (at the current registrar) and make sure your administrative contact information is correct. Currently, transferring a .com to Godaddy is $6.95 + $0.20 ICANN fee.
