    Hi everyone,

After i created my RSS file, it will sit on my server. Then i create a link to it. When they click on that link in e.g. FF, they will be able to subscribe. Then how do i make sure that my subscribers will get it every time the RSS is updated?

In the old times i just sent a newsletter, that way it was sure every subscriber will have it in their inbox. Now how do i deliver my RSS feed?

In other words, how do i "send" my updated RSS to the people?

    Thank you for your replies,
    Skaccer

If the user saves the RSS in their Firefox or subscribes to it, Firefox will automatically check the rss feed for any news posts, alerting the user that there are unread posts, if so :)

    Ok thanks.

So it is up to the rss reader to check for updates and my work is done with placing the link, and replacing the rss file with the updated one.

Is there anything important i need to pay attention to when creating the new RSS file - apart from the items?
Looks like to me that "lastBuildDate" and "pubDate" tags are the ones telling the reader that the channel has been updated.

Could someone explain me what the "cloud" tag can be used for?

    Thanks,
    Skaccer
