Following are some tips to protect yourself from online frauds:
1)Firstly, one has to be very careful before submitting personal information like the secret user – id and / or password. No bank asks for the same online.
2)The user must also be updated with the latest antivirus or anti Trojan software.
3)Also, one has to look for the security certification, like a lock sign in the case of Secure Socket Layer ( SSL), which is again a sign of authenticity. You can double click on the lock sign on the bottom right hand corner of the site to check the authenticity.
4)In case of online shopping or other transactions, a user can go in for two credit cards. One could be exclusively meant for transacting online. You can set an upper limit. This way, even if the data is abused, the loss would be limited.

Is there anything else you can add to the above mentioned points?
