How to protect personal information while registering domain name?

I recently bought a domain name for my blog.But when i checked my domain details of some website.I can see my phone numbers and residential address.How to protect it from people.
I'm running adsense ad.And i should not hide these info to google..because i bought domain name from google(blogger.com) via godaddy..

but already i have registered(not privately)..i cant go directly to godaddy because i bought this from godaddy VIA blogger.com.so Can u tell me wht is the procedure to do this NOW?

I know namecheap offers it for free with any domain you purchase, otherwise it is a couple bucks.

To add it to your godaddy account, simple go to your domain and buy whois privacy
