How to protect images in a website

Hello,

We can desable "Save as" for exemple with a simple script, but i'd like to know if it's possible to desable "Print Screen Sys" with a javascript, Action Script on Flash or any other possibility !

Disabling Print Screen would be impossible IMO...

There is no way to prevent download of a image when its viewed, the browser has to download it to display it. You can disable right clicks, but that requires javascript, which can be turned off. Even if you could do that, there is a program called black widow that pulls the page to pieces and gives you the URL of every image, script, css file, ect.

 

Don't forget to name each image, something with keywords. That way you can go do a search and find those people that snatch your images.

Watermarking also works good.

 

that doesn't help always, those who copy it can always rename the image.

Yeah that's true. Another way is to embed your copyright and contact information in the metadata of the photo file.
