Hello! Im new to this forum.I have heard a lot about this forum that many helping ppl are here... First of all i wud like to say that my question is highly technical...Plz answer only if u know the answer. I have an ebook blog made at blogger.com where ppl can download ebooks free... I applied for adsense and started using it and started to make 1-2$ per day with 100-150 visitors in just first month. One day google mailed me and said that we have stopped serving ads on your blog because of copyright infringement.And said that a specific page in your blog is not according to our TOS and also gave its url....Well it was an ebook named "The managers guide to performance reviews"....And said that you can serve ads with this account on any site except this one.This site is not eligible for google ads... Now i come to my question...Read carefully... [COLOR="Navy"]I place books on my site from a huge site named http://gigapedia.org from where i took this book... I suggest u to open this site and search in their search box with keyword "The managers guide to performance reviews" U will see books in the results and google ads are placed right of the page...But if you open that specific item named "The managers guide to performance reviews" then u will see the description of the whole book but u dont see any google ad on that particular page....[/COLOR] Now my question is why google ads are published on gigapedia.org and why their account doesnot get cancelled? I placed same book from that site on my blog and my adsense a/c got cancelled...Why the adsense a/c of gigapedia.org doesnot get cancelled because they hv also placed same book on their site... what is the trick applied by gigapedia.org...Is it that about which i have wrote in red? Plz reply...Im really interested in making a new blog of ebook wid adsense account but i fear that it will again get cancelled...So i m waiting to know how google cancels ur account.... Also suggest that if i publish ebook download blog post that does not contain the description of the book....It will contain only custom title,image of the book and the download link...Can google still cancel my account(I mean to ask how google identifies copyright infringement)....I guess it cannot crawl images...It crawls only the text...So if we dont have text(publisher name) of the book,google might not be able to detect copyright infringement...Im i right? Plz answer... If u dont understand any part of my post plz ask but plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz help me....I will highly appreciate ur opinions and analysis about this problem. Thanx!
it does not matter what other websites do.. You need only be concerned that YOU are following the rules.. So the question is: do you own/have the right to redistribute that ebook? If so, then you are entitled to use Adsense and you should let google know. If not, then you have violated the Adsense TOS, United States copyright law, and probably the DMCA - and you do not have much recourse..
I didnt open that gigapedia link, But the problem is, I belive some publishers are allowed to do stuff that some arnt, you said you got around 150 visitors, Google arnt really going to care about you that much, Whereas a site getting 1.5 million, They will proberly think twice about sending there automatic email about how their site brakes there TOS As the guy above me said, You need only be concerned about your site. Edit - Also, Take youtube for example, if you made a site such as that, Google would proberly be all over your inbox about "Your site breaks out TOS", But because of the traffic generation it produces,(and because they own it of course) its allowed
Thank u very much for ur answers. Are u sure that google automated systems check the copyright infringement on any of the sites and not any human? Howz that possible? Anybody wud explain? So i guessed right.Google has double faced policy.It does not disable the a/c of those who have higher traffic.Google says that they strictly observe their rules...Then what is this??????? This is all shit....And Google is shit too...Nobody can be so big by be so merciless.... Anywayz thank u guys for answering the question....
how do you know that the other site does not own the copyright or right to redistribute ? ..at any rate, if you are so unhappy with Adsense, nobody is twisting your arm to use it..
