How To Properly Reply to PMs in a Forum Software

    Hello,

    I know this is a stupid question but I typically use a website where the Private Messages are just like normal threads except they are private. Basically what I am saying is that there is a reply button and it replies just like a normal thread. But recently I started my own website and I use MyBB and I don't understand the whole reply thing and how to do it properly. Can someone help me?

    It's like an e-mail. When you get a new PM it will be it's own little message. It's the same thing as what you are use to but the replies are clustered in one message.

    use Reply button (eg. [​IMG]) on MyBB . each private message is a separate message on MyBB.

    ^ yes, reply to PM is made just like reply to an email.
    received messages are in inbox folder ; sent messages are in sent items folder.
    there is an alert by default when one receives a PM . drafting messages is also possible ...
