How to promote YouTube Videos and Podcast?

    Hello guys,

    I want to know how to promote youtube videos and podcast....?

    Thou, i am using social bookmarking as to drive traffic, but it is not sufficient ... I use to get very few hits say 20 - 40 odd clicks...
    Any other way or techniques to promote YouTube Videos .... as well as PodCast...?

    Try to share it in social networking sites. It also helps you to get traffic to your videos

    You can publish that video on your blog also can give video url in your bio. Share on social networking sites & made different section of video on your site.

    If you have a podcast that you enjoy producing, you probably want to have people listen to it. Making a podcast can require quite a bit of work, so it is more rewarding to know that there are listeners who are enjoying the content that you are creating.

    The first and most basic thing you need to do it to get on iTunes. This is very important since this is a huge source of potential visitors. If you are going to do any of these promotional steps, this is the most important one.

    Also put your podcast on many of the other podcast directories. These are places that people will go to with the intent of finding new things to listen to. If your podcast is listed on these directory sites, you have a much better chance of being found.

    The next step is to go to all these directories and subscribe to your own podcast. Sometimes your submitted content will not show up until at least one person has subscribed to your feed.

    Use social networks like Facebook and Twitter to talk about your podcast episodes. This does not have to be an in your face technique. Simply mention that you have something new to listen to.

    Create a blog to put your podcast on. This is an easy way for many people to keep in touch. With a blog, listeners can comment on your episodes and keep in touch. Also others can find your content this way much easier since not everyone uses podcast directories.

    You can than take your blog's RSS feed and submit these to any RSS directories you can find. These are like the podcast directories except for your blog's feed.

    Another great promotional technqique is to have listener contests. This is a very easy way of having your current listeners tell others about your podcast for you.

    Use social bookmarking to promote your podcasts. These are sites like Digg, Reddit, Delicious and many others. The point of these is that interesting or important things are bookmarked by subject. Be sure you do this with some of your episodes so that people on these sites can find you.

    Upload your episodes to Youtube and other video sites. You do not have to have actual video here to upload to these sites.

    If you have a podcast, you want people to find it and listen to it. Learn some common ways of finding new listeners and it will make your podcasting much more rewarding.
