How to promote website?

Hi guys, I am new to it. How do you normally promote your website?
I have a website (http://preciousmetalguides.com/) wondering where could I promote my website so that I have many visitors.

 

Create Social Media Accounts. Engage with accounts that show interest in your field. Post links to other sites along with yours. Advertise on Social Media Networks. Leave helpful comments, with a link tracing back to your site. Guest Post on other sites, with a link leading back to your site. This helps build backlinks, increasing Search Engine Ranking.

Use Twitter. I get about 20-40 visits per tweet shared.

 

Thats a decent amount of visits from twitter. How many followers do you have?

 

Over 20K. I can only imagine the amount of traffic some get (let's say with half a million of real followers). No paid advertising needed then. Just keeping shooting tweets every now and then.

 

I know, half a million followers and you can generate some good traffic. I never really put much effort into generating twitter followers, but i think i better.

 

Use social networking sites, such as myspace, facebook, or twitter to get the word out about your site. Use Craigslist and put an ad on it. It wouldn't generate that many sales.

 

Search engines should be the first place that you should turn to to promote your online presence, Adding your site to online directories. Linking your content on popular social sites is a great way to put your business in the face of your known audience, start blogging, article submission and photo sharing are a terrific way to promote your site.....

 

I would create press releases, guest blogging, YouTube, Pinterest, Reddit, Facebook fan page. I especially like YouTube.

 

Promote your website on Social media sites such as facebook,linkedin,twitter,G+ and Pinterest and social bookmarking sites.

 

Write a good blog with content relevant to your website content. Use social media to funnel visitors to your blog.

 

Have you tried social media websites? They can be a great way to increase value of your websites in a good way.

 

Promote your website in social media like Facebook, first create a fan page and increase your audience on it. I will prefer organic audience not paid.

For twitter, find someone who already has a ton of followers and simply follow all their followers. I think you have a limit of following around 1,000 people per day
