How to promote services locally for free ?

    I'm doing a lot of research online for free advertising. I also find (obviously) a lot of annoying websites that let you sign up for free for adtexts and then blow up your email address with neverending junk.:mad:
    The only clean ones I found:
    craigslist, backpage, topix, certain forums;), merchantcircle etc.
    I also created a flyer I will distribute after the touch-ups.
    What else can I do to promote our services for free?
    BTW.: It is a computer support business in the Tri-State Area. A lot of competition.

    Ad on shop window (quite costly)
    Local newspaper ad.
