That sounds like a superb method and although I stick with my own approach, this is certainly something that people who are wanting to get their teeth in to Amazon or any other decent affiliate program could seriously consider. All the Best
Yeah, always use your own method. Learn from others by all means, but you gotta do your own thing. The other great thing about Amazon, apart from the high conversion rates, is that it's very rare to get banned. I'd rather build a business around Amazon than Adsense - although I don't advise either.
Amazon is probably the best place for affiliation, but you're wrong about being difficult to get banned. I personally no of 1 affiliate and have heard about a couple of other affiliates who have been banned this year alone. No real explanation given other than cookie stuffing - How did it happen? By using iframes on their own websites, apparently these store cookies for weeks on end causing major confliction with their the Amazon 24 cookie policy. The worst part about it was that these iframes were downloads from the Amazon affiliate website itself and he's still trying to get the £700 that he earned before they locked his account. He has since opened another account and avoids anything with iframes.
