How to promote new shopping site

    Hey everyone i just created my first shopping site and not sure where or how to promote it. I dont wanna hard sell, and since it's starting up im not sure how efficent google adword would be for my site. Any suggestions would be great!

    I think you should well position your products and especially avoid dark background. IMO, it is always better to concentrate more at your local market.

    google adword is not work well.just post every forums like this especially the shopping forums.it will be more efficient

    Google works VERY well for my site. Yahoo! does as well. You can deposit $5 at both and get $50 free advertising..I would take advantage of that offer while you can.

    I'd argue that Google and Yahoo can be effective as well. You've got to consider the lifetime value of a customer. Then insert a projected site conversion rate, and determine what CPC will be profitable for you. Will buyers come back and purchase in the future? What's the value of a single purchase or a lifetime of purchases?

    Really analyze your cost structure before starting Google or Yahoo, they can be expensive and require some skill to manage.
