    Dude SEO is to optimize and marketing is to promote. First try optimizing your website for better usability and accessibility and better user experience. Get it reviewed by people and try getting feedback from different people that what they like and dislike about your website and then further optimize (do not follow the suggestion blindly). and when you get at least 3+ stars out of 5 then you can start with further promotion like: Link acquisition, guest blogging, forum participation, blogging, PR, articles, etc.

    could you please explain, what exactly once should do in whitehat SEO and how can one avoid blackhat seo and spamming?

    How would I know I if the website is good quality. I can only check the relevancy, isn't it?

    White hat SEO is using the right techniques. Having original and quality content with well placed keywords without over stuffing. There are a lot of tutorials on the web that will help you get on your SEO way, just search best SEO techniques and you will find some help. If you need original and quality content you can write it yourself or pay someone to write it for you.

    Black hat SEO is a no no. These are bad techniques used that might work sometimes but in the long run will kill your site and will put you on the google black list and once you're there it's hard to come back...

    Three things you have to concentrate.
    1) On-Page Optimization
    2) Off-Page Optimization
    3)Keyword Ranking

    First try to be perfect in On-Page. If you do that 50% percent of your SEO work will be over. Then concentrate on Off-Page by site submission, social bookmarking like that. Finally concentrate on keyword ranking.
