How to promote my Squidoo lens?

Can somebody tell me is this Squidoo lens good? http://www.squidoo.com/homestartpage
I made one Squidoo lens and but my main problem is how to promote that lens. What are the best ways to do that?

Treat your squidoo lens like a website. Make sure to build lots of quality backlinks to it to make it rank good in Google

Yup, use it only for backlinks, dont bother receiving much traffic from Squidoo anyways

 

totally agree with jerry squidoo is a better option for backlinks rather traffic.

 

You can promote within the community of squidoo. Wherever it allows you to comment on the article. And if its related to your area and being helpful, just promote your lens.

Also you can create backlinks from your author bio, another way as well is to inter-link other related articles you write, then leading back to your main website.

Example: I`m james, I love to snowboard, blog, and take photos. You can see I`m pretty active, plus creating new online projects like below:
(website url) - purpose of your website

But how i will know that my Squidoo is active on internet? He must be visible for search engines or..(google,bing,yahoo...)

 

Work at making backlinks and spreading the word just as you would to your own website.

 

Try searching for it by entering the URL or taking a unique phrase from the lens and entering that into the search engine.

You can promote your squidoo lens easily by doing Social Bookmarking of it on different Social bookmarking sites , also apply lens url on your status on Gmail or Gtalk. Surely your lens will get traffic.

I will see results and i hope so will be good. I mean what i can see when somebody go from my Squidoo lens to my website. I think backlink from Squidoo is good for PR and for search engines to rank me good. Right?

 

Squidoo also has a community as well with groups and forums. You need to check out http://www.squidu.com/forum/

Participate in the comments, if there is any that is, and be helpful or relate it to your lens. Join discussions, theres so many things to do, but dont get overwhelmed with the workload. Just do as much as you can do.
