You have to take so many strategies and of course regular updates on the site

- There are many Classified sites put some Classified Ads over there..

- Social Bookmarking is great technique to bring quality traffic.

- Use blogspot.com for blogging and put your site name in the heading. Google search crawlers detects search results quick from blogspot.com..

As a first timer and if u have a wee bit of money u can give ppc a go, but if u short of cash, i guess you will have to get your pen and paper and learn about SEO which is a long time thing and is very effective.
