Hello, I have started a new forum relating to GPT programs, Affiliate Programs and HYIPs. But the problem is that I am unable to promote it. Initially I have started a "Pay Per Post Program" and recieved 15 signups in one day, but they all posted for money and not for some reason. I do not want such traffic. Then I changed all setup of my forum and now I am offering Revenue Sharing. But, by doing this, Signups stop. Can anyone tell me how to get signups for my forum? I want real visitors that post for some reason and not for money. Is it necessary that I should make Fake members and posts by myself initially to give visitors impression that my forum has a lot of members? Please Guide me.

Everytime a blog or website puts your widget, you will get backlinks. In other words you will build links for free. Second, and maybe the most important is your forum will benefit from viral marketing. People will click on your widget from the other sides.
either you get other people to do it or you do it yourself but starting a forum takes a lot of work. If you dont want to spend the money, then yes you will have to start posting yourself. A forum needs new stuff everyday for people to be interested. Depending on what forum you use, there are things that can help you achive more post. If you use vb, then you can use rss feeds to automatically post on your forum. This was a big help to my forum This is a good start for a new forum.
I recently started a forum helping teens to make money. It started on the 2nd of november and today i have 182 posts so far, i am getting about 30 new posts a day now so it is growing, 120 are from other people so i know there is interest. Just advertise on lots of forums, signatures, but be careful from breaking the rules. Also i have a section on my website where you can advertise your site, many forums have sections like that so use them.
Try adding your Forum URL inside our signature of other forums you are apart of. If people are interested enough they will check it out and spread your forum name by word of mouth. I had the same problem for a while..its normal, just keep plugging away.
