However you can also use some other techniques like blog posts ,article submission and blog commenting.

Promoting scripts, sometimes, becomes quite tricky. It is difficult to find target audience for such campaigns.

To begin with, you may submit your scripts to script directories.

Look for forums and discussion boards which are related to developing and software marketing.

And, blogging is always fruitful for such a niches

 

I would recommend joining a highly trafficked forum. Start answering some questions etc till you get your post count up enough to have a signature file with a link to the blog for your script. I would also search for the main keyword in Google to see who is holding the top positions at present.

Put their URL into Google keyword tool to see what keywords you should be targeting. Go to wordtracker.com/questions and put your main keyword in there to see what questions people are asking in that niche. You can sort by number of searches.

Answer those questions in your blog to attract traffic. If you are looking for faster results use PPC and buy the traffic. Hope this helps
