How to promote my image hosting site?

    Hi guys,

    I've just launched my free image hosting site.

    I'm getting very minimal traffic and am looking for some tips to boost the site traffic :confused:

    Looking for some good advice.

    I would submit the site to a number of "free stuff" sites and ask for linkage back. For example:

    thefreesite.com
    totallyfreestuff.com

    best way is to go onto forums and host images using ur host and post threads with an uploaded image in

    Find sites where to post an image you can add only url to it (ex. dev-the-web.com, actually my site :)) and you can make offer to their owners how they could advertise your service in their sites :)

    Here are my suggestions:

    1. Several forums have "Freebies" sections. Offer your service with a link to your website.
    2. Use press releases.
    3. Use social bookmarking. (If you have a Blog, post an article about your website and submit it to social bookmarking sites.)
    4. Place classified ads offering your free service at USFreeads, InetGiant, Ablewise, etc.
    5. Submit your website to link directories.

    Simple. Spam on the high traffic forums as others do.

    Like Big One says spam on other sites but in a non spammy way. make sure your posts are relevant. I have an image hosting site like everyone else and I used a pop forum and was just posting funny and crazy pics and pics of everyday life and now its taken off. I see it even being used in here and I have never used it in here.
    So just promote and use it like you would use any other site.

    2) Forum posting;
    3) Issue promotional codes and place them at popular hosting coupons sites and directories;
    4) Order email marketing service and tell about your company numerous web development companies.

    Find a way to go after the myspace/facebook type users. They are hardcore with the image hosting.. Maybe go after craigslist users or people wanting to share family photos
