Looking for ideas on how to promote an image based site that is about motivational type quotes. What other sites can I post images to, to get traffic back to my site?

How many forums do you think you could find that have motivational, mindset, and inspirational sub-forums? I'd bet it is over 100.

Might be a good starting point...

You didn't mention G+ and Linkedin. I often see images with motivational quotes posted on both of them.

A mate of mine just launched an app of inspirational messages. Maybe bundling them together like that might give an additional outlet

Google+ and Pinterest are the top ones for motivational posts. I would even say Google+ over Pinterest. I have posted motivational images there and they were viewed 4,000 times due to all the shares etc.

To top it off if you utilize G+ Communities, you can get these type of results with little to no followers!

    I hope this helps!

I just created a G+ Business Page for my site, rather than using my personal name for it. I'll give it a try and see how it goes.

Can you explain how you're using communities to promote your images?

Find Communities that deal with your niche. I know right off hand that they have a few good Communities that deal with quotes. Then create a nice high quality graphic, I use Canva, and share it to these groups or any other groups that you want to target. Then in the description of your image I would also type out your quote, add a link to your site and add a call to action (Ex. Visit yoursite.com for more inspirational quotes like this).

That's about it. The graphic with a nice quote generally spread well on their own.
