How to Promote How Tos Website?

    I need help and suggestions in promoting the how tos site.

    My main topics are

    Networking
    Hardware,
    Windows
    Adobe Photoshop
    Flash
    Tips
    etc

    Please tell me how to promote a How Tos type website to generate a good amount of traffic.

    1. Do videos of you doing the tutorials and post them on ebay
    2.Write articles and submit them to article directories
    3. Write an ebook and give it away for free on your website

    Writing 'How To' articles for ezine submission will be the best idea, but it won't probably bring an overnight traffic. Some freebies will work fine with reference to traffic, but only if advertised properly on forums and other social networks.

    Article marketing is a powerful way of promoting your website. Join a few forums related to your website and start being an active member. Do some promotion there subsequently.

    I was just thinking...

    If you build this to be a great source of information, you can even approach Adobe and highlight to them of you site? Perhaps they might even give you a link! Wishful thinking, but worth a shot I guess...

    Same goes to the places, cos I believe if the manufacturer/others know of someone dedicating their time to providing instructions for their products, they might even promote to their list?
