How to promote free software and music?

I'm looking to promote my free websites a bit more.. The links are in my signature.

I'm doing the sigs-on-forums thing, I post the url to my music page on relevant facebook pages about once a month or when I've created new mixes, what other things can i be doing to promote these pages?

USE PPC or do some backlinking to get good ranking.

 

Leave relevent comments on other related blogs and submit your site to directories.

 

Write articles, create a blog, web 2.0, social bookmarking and create a squidoo lens. Any and all of those should help.

 

Giving away free ringtones is is the best new trick I have found to promote our band. I use mycellspot.com to make ringtones and post thier ringtone app to our website so I can share my ringtones with our fans. Give it a try every little bit helps and it is fun too!!

Step 1 --- Create a spam youtube account.

Step 2 --- Search up really popular songs, that get lots of traffic daily.

Step 3 --- Post a comment on there, or a response video which links to your youtube video that contains links to your site.

Step 4 --- Enjoy Traffic.

 

Create youtube account and promote in that . Make ad on that software. Promote through Facebook and Twitter. Go for Back linking . You can easily promote in this way

 

This youtube idea is good beacause it might work, also try to put yours music on websites which promote new artists and amateurs.
