I just started my new shopping catalog, but I think it really slow getting traffic to my web. I need DP member advice to help me promoting my web. you can access my site location at www.timestreets.com or www.timestreets.com/index.php My questions is- 1. I thought it must be a problem on traffic, so how am i have lot traffic? 2. When people land to my site how to encourage them to register free and use my trade platform? 3. My concept is just a catalog, so buyer will purchase any item with contacting seller by phone or email. How can i build trust so buyer will buy and purchase seller item? 4. Im have already spend hundreds of dollar using adwords, but people just come and click back. 5. Im planning to partner with any company with interested selling product less then market price. What type of company should i partner? and how to approach them so they will agree to use my portal. Any suggestions ? 6. I thought the hottest item that might people buy online is software or web master tools. so how can i follow this market trend? please i spend a lot of money but still doesn't make it worth from my investment. Its anything wrong on my site appreciate if you can let me know. thanks.
1. Does it also look ok in Firefox and Opera? 2. I noticed that you have cookies, coffee and a vidoe cable on display. I could be wrong, but those really aren't good sellers. Shouldn't you have the popular items up instead? 3. You are taking up valuable space in your site with a section in Malaysia? At least 80% of your visitors will be American. Use that section to wow your english-speaking visitors. 4. The section below it on Jewelry. ... I'm sorry, but I don't get it. Why is that there??? As a buyer, what does that do for me??? 5. You have one hell of a scroll bar going there, so I can't see your categories unless I scroll there. You may not think that it is a big deal, but if you have a lot of "eh" visitors, it is a big deal. 6. You have a lot of products from Malaysia? Now why would I buy cookies, or anything from Malaysia??? Cookies??? 7. I saw a watch in there for $362. $362?!! It may be less than market price, but it is still $362. Most people go to the Net to find deals. Plus, most aren't willing to send that much money to an unknown site. I could be wrong, but I don't think Amazon.com sells items that high. 9. You don't have anything on your page to encourage visitors to use your site. Well, you have that SMALL section to the left, but, man, that is hard to see! Enlarge it three times, and smack that sucker in the middle of the page! Then tell them why they should do it. Tell me what you can do for me! 10. Software and Wewbmaster tools are not the hottest items, because very few are into that. 11. I clicked on BUSTEDTEES, and there is nothing there to want me to show an interest. No pics, no nothing. I just clicked back off again. There is more, but that is most of it.
Shopping is a very, very competitive market. Be prepared to spend 100 of hours submitting to directories and building backlinks and doing keyword research. It will probably also cost you quite a bit of money in advertising.
Hmmm....not recommended for newbies...build up your online marketing skills to part with such a venture!
