How to Promote and bring traffic to blogs

Hi, I have a blog and since last 2 months I have same traffic 10 to 12 visitors my blog is 4 months old. what things I need to do to promote and bring traffic to my blog. I will appreciate if any one tell me the sequential steps to promote any blog.

 

- post new posts at least each 2 days
- place links to your blog all over the internet regularry.

* Blog directory submission
* Try with SBM sites
* Social Networking sites helps you to get more traffice
* Twitter
* don't give any links in initial stage from your postings

These could be help you to get you more traffic and PR also.

Is there any thing new please let me know.

write unique, good content.
take some time to bookmark you new article.
comment on relevent blogs.

keep building the site with quality content and acquire backlinks from relevants sites and your rankings will increase

 

I know the feeling- my traffic has flatlined (about 300 a day) for the past 2 months.

So I'm doing Yahoo answers, Twitter and trying to get Technorati to work (anyone else figure out the 500 error code?)

Let me know if you think of anything else I havn't Football season started (Plus i have CJ now) so I need to get some eyeballs!
