Looking for ideas on how to promote an affiliate program and get webmasters to sign up for it. Can't use Commission Junction, Linkshare or other affiliate networks as you would need to pay a lot of money just to get listed with them. I am specifically looking to promote this freelance referral program and the websites that would be a good fit for it are web design, programming, freelancing and job related websites.
Build a site based on some long tail keyword that has low compettion and average search volume. Optimise the site with related long tail keywords. Put some high converting products in there and you are done. This is the best and targeted way to market websites
Honestly, I trully think the least time consuming way is to hire a JV broker - or outsource a general online research company off elance to collect hundreds of potential affiliate contacts.
