How to promote a Web hosting business, please help.

    Hi guys please post here good ideas on how to promote a web hostinb business.

    Here is the deal.

    I have a reseller account with a hosting website.

    I want to host 100 domains for $5.95 a month, so I would make $595 a month.

    Please post here ways that I could make this happen in less than a month.

    Hiyya!

    As you probably well know...hosting is one of the most competitive business areas around.

    Have you tried local offline marketing. i have a friend who did not stand a chance on the internet with hosting, but as soon as he sent out flyers and a advert in the local paper..things really picked up.....and more people signed up by word of mouth etc.

    I think too many people forget the power of good old fashioned advertising techniques!

    Just an idea!

    I can tell you from 6+ years of experience hosting that unless you are ready to be available to the business 24/7 don't even bother. And if you think you're fitting 100 accounts on a small reseller plan you are sadly mistaken.

    Do you research at www.webhostingtalk.com and do a lot of planning before even getting an account. If you do it properly it can work and I wish you the best of luck.

    There are way to many web hosts out there today. Unless you offer something totally fantastic, you wont be getting 595 a month. But go ahead and go with local advertising first, and make sure to post about it on forums like this one lol

    If you really want to distinguish yourself as a host you need to provide live chat and an 800 number where you can be contacted with superior service.
