How To Promote A Short URL Site??

    hi guys,

    I recently picked up this site www.shrinkmylink.info in the buy sell section of this forum (got what I thought was a really good deal) but now I am stuck on how I can promote this site and start driving traffic to it.

    does anybody have any idea how I can start marketing this site and getting traffic aswell as monetizing it?

    Any help would be appreciated and really good help rep'd!

    What you can try at first is to submit to tons of directories, build backlinks and optimize your site. I would concentrate on getting organic traffic rather than short term traffic

    Whenever you post links for anything on sites/forums run the url through your site first regardless if it needs shrinking or not.

    People like using things everyone else uses, how do you think most people found out about TinyURL? Not by googling short url service but by the viral effect of its use.

    I also have a short url site and I am making myself a member of all the aff forums I can find as affiliates are the primary users of this service IMHO.
