How to promote a personal blog page?

As part of user personal page, I've created a blog page with more features than the best blog engine out there - far better than myspace's.

The problem is few users are using it since my web site is new. What's the best way to make everybody hear about 'skillipedia blog'

Promote it via mybloglog, social networking, and social bookmarking

 

Social Bookmarking will work well and fast if the content is good/interesting

 

The best promotion technique I've seen so far is posting commenting on other peoples blogs. Make sure you don't spam other blogs.

 

make friendly personal comments on other personal blogs and dont comment just once. then if you become friends with that blogger .. exchange links

Just started a personal blog myself. I like the idea of posting comments on other blogs. Once I get the critical mass of having about a dozen or so blog entries (doing a few a week), I'll look to reach out to some other blogs and experiment with that method.
