I respect your opinion. and dont expect everyone to like it.

honestly, I created this directory knowing almost nothing about directories, page rank, backlinks, or SEO in general really. I had no idea that thousands of directories existed. knowing what I know now, I wouldnt have done anything different. I'm happy to break the mold. I really dont see the point of starting yet another php link directory. why would anyone create something that exists thousands of times over?

anywho, I created this site as a central place to find a forum, and to do it in a visually stimulating way. not SEO, backlinks, or page rank. but I'm learning now, those are actually beneficial. so its a nice bonus.

thanks for the feedback! :)

Because its wrong for me to.

Seriously, if you want to be unique then dont start a directory.

If you want a quality directory then just choose a script of the ones available, they are flexible enough to add your own things to, remove some of what you dont need, its what you do with it that counts.

Plus your going to have the support of any community of a script, if something is playing up you can ask here or on a script forum and usually people who can help you setup, fix, customise, whatever you need....

    ok

why must a directory be exactly like the same as the others in order to be high quality?

some of the greatest accomplishments happened when people took risks, tried something different.

I completely disagree with everything you said.

    It doesn't have to be.

Loads of people use wordpress for example, but look at what some people manage to do with wordpress, thousands of people using it as a base to build what they like on it.

Takes a lot more than a risk to try and stand out.

Thanks, i often disagree with myself and change my mind quite often after having tried things out.

    Good luck. :)
