Definitely use social networking and add a facebook fan page and also design a facebook landing page so new visitors can 'Like' your page (Google iT √), then when you have loads of followers you can communicate offers/news to these, also get as many backlinks from quality high ranking sites. Good luck.

If you've a budget then go with CPC advertising networks like Google Adsense, Facebook Ads etc. If you don't have the budget then we need some alternatives like Linkreferral, iEncyclopedia, off-page seo (very helpful). These all costs nothing but some time to spend on to post your website for promotion. all the best.

There are many ways to generate traffic to a site, the most common one is SEO (search engine optimization). In simple words, try to get to the top 3 in google for your keyword.
Social media like facebook and twitter is a faster way to get free traffic
You could also use some paid traffic like PPC (pay per click). You pay an advertising network (like adwords) for each click a person performs on your ad. You have to be careful with paid traffic. If you do not know what you are doing then you are going to waste a lot of money and earn little in return.

    Hello,

Have you considered looking at diversifying and creating content that people might actually want to look at? Video, audio-visual outputs and general new media.

If you have then get down to business and consider what approach you are going to take to enable your new media network to happen. This might help for your content delivery network considerations aside from general back linking, PPA plans etc. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1j0-pElv21gMivxrcNoGJ0o0Y9cKphYxMeP4Qj8A55TY/edit

Hope you get the exposure you're looking for :) Best of luck!

Make sure your ON-PAGE SEO is solid when you make a new site live, but you have to accept that unless you pursue some extremely low search count keywords, it's likely going to be a while before you rank high enough to make much of a difference in your traffic from the search engines alone. And if you go crazy blasting unnatural looking backlinks all over the place right out of the gate, you will likely get penalized for it over the long-term.

Your best bet is to drip new content onto your website slowly for the first few weeks while focusing on related forums, blogs, social media groups, attempting to build up a related e-mail opt-in list (that mentions your new site/blog), onlilne classified ads and press releases. If you intend for it to become an authority site, you'll want to consider promoting via paid online traffic, OFFLINE classified ads, flyers, and even personal business card handouts. After a few weeks, you can turn more attention to SEO by developing some focused Web 2.0 properties, obtaining some additional high-quality relevant links, and paying for some backlinking blasts geared primarily towards bolstering the link juice of your Web 2.0 properties.

Your site will be ranked in search engines if your content is of good quality. Keywords which you target should be distributed equally in your content. Once you done with all your On Page activity, try initially directory, bookmarking where you will get back links for your site. If you want to increase traffic to your site then go for Forum postings,Blog Commenting, Classifieds and so on...

    Hope this helped you.

Blog commenting works a lot. Untargeted blogs give you more backlinks, targeted blogs (same niche as yours) give you good rankings on search engines.
