Submitting to directories is only getting you backlinks. you should promote it using social sites like digg, stumpleupon but best way for me lately is using twitter, make a twitter account and gather followers related to your niche..

    Hello...

Web Directories (quality ones paid and Free)
    Article Directories
    Social Bookmarks
    Press Releases

are all good starts for driving traffic and gathering backlinks

PS fix your site as the bottom half is to far over to the right before you start submitting
so you dont get rejected as most will see this design flaw ---->

    thx
    Malcolm

I dont agree with submitting to directories at all. Google doesnt give much weight to back links from directories. The other thing that bothers me is the fact that ppl are using auto-submit software or submission services that submit to 500 directories for 10 $. These services are very quick. Does anyone really think that 500 backlinks in 2 days will be given any weight from Google......................answer is = no.

Quality is better than quality as far as google is concerned and I would spent more time looking for quality links from sites that are relevant to your niche.
Also make sure your site has good clean, keywird rich content that is unique. Write articles on your niche and submit them to a number of article submission sites.....not too many and not all at once.

Write ( or have written ) a web review on your site and include 1 or 2 links on anchor texts aiming at inner pages, i.e, if your site is about tropical fish then write a review your site including the anchor text "guppies" and direct the link to www.nicetropicalfish.com/guppies. In other words....dont send all back links to your index page.

Again....dont waste too much time with directories. I have had far better results with just a few quality back links.

Hope you can use the info to your advantage :)

First you need to figure out "who" your targeted audience is. Are you trying to get people that want to save money to visit your site, or people that are concerned about the enviroment,,,,, - "exactly" who do you want to visit your site.

And then figure out "where" on the internet you can find those people. Chances are you will be able to find some good environmentalist forums that have classified sections on them. Then list your products on those sites. Another good place are on forums where people discuss saving money.
