though wat will happen is you have to make as much posts to get those back to ur board. you seriously need huge budget to promote forums , or best would be to buy developed forums.

Its very hard work to promote forums ,Here are some tips :-
    1) You need friends who help you to contribute in it .
    2) Make good contents.
    3) If you have budget then try to offer some good attractive offers.
    4) Link exchange.
    5) Posting in other forums about your forums (avoid spam)
    6) Buy forum promoting software (costly , only If you have good budget).

The main life of a forum is based on the quality based activity on the forum iself. So keep your focus on understanding the needs of the members on the forum.Ofcourse, initially you will have to shelve out some money to pay for paid posters.Thats how the show will begin.I hope you understood my point.

You can try some paid posting options with fellow DPians' but that's just a way to start. To get it rolling you'll need to find ways to get "real" registrations and real contribution.

It's easier to build a forum around a popular topic. So find something what people love to talk about or hear about and start a forum. It should be a huge success pretty soon.
