How To Promote a NEW blog?

Seek out other blogs that are related to your topic. Post meaningful comments (something that shows you actually read the post. Don't do "Keep up the good work", "I will come back again" ) about the article that you read and link back to your site. You might just catch the attention of the blog owner and find that they link back to your site.

Forget about Page Rank and just focus on getting readers to your blog.

 

I can't agree more, forget about Pagerank, just concentrate in getting more people to read your blog by writing good content. All the tips here are fantastic as well. Check Feedburner and don't forget to add your link in every signature you leave everywhere you write. Check my blog for getting an idea on how to customize yours for heavy ad income through several mediums. They all provide you with little money here and there, but they add to a decent amount.

 

do as much as you can per day but make sure you dont submit same blog to same directory twice. (same as subpage as well)

Never benefited much from social sites though. MyBlogLog is a good source of traffic and building relationship.
