How to promote a new blog

hi .....i am new to blogging field but i have a great passion ..to become a blogger

i am having one query ie ; how to should i promote my blog initially by i am trying to go with

article marketing .....will it work ..... or any other ways to promote a blog ....

plz need a help

Sign up for Google Webmasters and Bing Webmasters. Learn from their programs on how to get your blog ranked by Google and Bing. Also check out Alexa.com and search the internet for as much on SEO, Keywords and backlinking as you can find. If you already have writing experience then you are way ahead from most trying to get their blogs promoted. Just remember that SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and writing is two slightly different things. So read as much about SEO, Keywords, and backlinking as possible.

Blogging is fun. And you want to promote it.

I don't want to come off sounding mean, ravi, but you need some early critical advice and you'll appreciate it more as time goes on if you pursue your blogging interest.

Placing a question here is a way to promote your blog, you would agree. So when you go out to do so, put on your Sunday best clothes. Use capitalization when called for. Make your words look professional. Then you write with more authority.

Though, these are not stamped ‘good’ techniques... but these are very basic techniques for blog promotion. You may start with this and then move ahead for advanced promotion.
- Submit your blog to popular blog directories
- Promote your blog post on social networking websites
- Publish quality wall post on your profile page
- Promote your blog on niche related forums
- Comment and guest post on niche related blogs
- Try to make your blog interactive (encourage people to comment on your blog and allow guest posting)
- You can integrate videos on your blog and promote those videos on different video distribution sites.

Guest posting works best for me. I use ‘Keyword Country’ for digging out my niche related celebrity blogs.

 

To promote ur site submit articles to directories and do seo.

 

Forget about promotion first, focus on your content first. Oh and learn to use punctuations the right way.

 

In my opinion, the best way to promote a blog is through social bookmarking.

i find it strange that a new user is never directed to the search bar and instead is bombarded by the standard replies: get backlinks, do seo, submit to a directory etc etc.

perhaps just search this forum and i am sure you will find the relevant information

 

to promote your blog submit your blog in some blog submission sites and also submit your blog feed in rss feed directories then you can do social bookmarking of your post, share your post in facebook and twitter...etc...
