Nobody has ever been writing about it. There aren't just english speaking people for crying out loud, using Digg, Ezine, Youtube... Currently I'm launching a 7 language website. Wouldn't it be nice if we could gather strategic plans on how to promote a website in different countries? Everyone can put down a plan for his country. The first thing to do is to submit it to Search Engines. Keep this in mind: you want to submit your site on Thursday in the afternoon, because Friday is the last working day of the week. Why this is important? In both Slovenian search engines new submitted sites are published on the landing page of the search engine. And if your site is added on Friday, it will be there whole weekend! Now wait till Thursday and do the following: -Seach engine Najdi.si: http://www.najdi.si/service.jsp?submenu=addurl – put in the sites URL. On the next page, click the button »Nadaljuj« under the first point (1. Vpis v spletni imenik…). Now put in the following: Naziv = Title, Opis = Description, Rubrika = Category (choose it by clicking on »Seznam rubrik«), Vaš e-naslov = Your e-mail. -Search engine Matkurja.com: http://www.matkurja.com/si/katalog/vpis/stran/ - put in: URL = URL, Kategorije = Categories (click on »Spisek vseh kategorij«), Tip strani = Type of the site (leave it unchecked), Naslov = Title (first column is for Slovenian language and the second one is for English language), Opis = Description, Kljucne besede = Keywords, Vas elektronski naslov = Your e-mail address, Vase geslo = Your password (by choosing one you will be able to edit what you're writing later on). Now that you have submitted it on Thursday, you can also submit your site to all of the Slovenian directories. OK, let's say your website is something special. You can try and write an e-mail to www.sta.si/en/, a Slovenian press agency. This agency than spreads the news to all news sites, radio and TV channels. Than I prefer you to make a movie with a Movie Maker (all Windows owners have it) and put an URL at the end of it, poiting to your site. This same thing you can do to any other movie. Submit it to Youtube and both Slovenian video-sharing websites and also to www.izklop.si. -Izklop.si: http://www.izklop.si/?url=users/register - first of all you'll have to register: Uporabniško ime = username, Geslo = password, Ponovite geslo = repeat the password, E-mail = e-mail. After registering, visit http://www.izklop.si/?url=links/admin&a=new for submitting the link. Naslov povezave = link title, Kategorija povezave = category of the link (choose Aktualno), Slika = picture, and at the bottom write a description and than click on the button Objavi. You also can join link/banner exchange services. Write an e-mail to community websites for advertising compensation or link exchange. Post on forums and so on.
