How to promote a directory site ?

I have a web directory link4web.net. This is directory site where a user can submit his/her website link in free and we will publish that after review. I want to know how to make my directory more popular or valuable so i can get more traffic? How to submit or list my directory in the list of various directory sites like directory critic or web-direcotries.ws etc.... All suggestions are appreciable...

 

The same way as you promote any other site, in my opinion is the same thing.

 

Also it will surely help if you have an English version of the site, far wider audience.
