The pure volume of competition in online dating would make it expensive/difficult to attract new visitors. There are so many free scripts now.
I normally see alot of dating sites being advertised on proxy or image uploading sites, but a few free ways of doing it is by just putting the link in your signature or by making an advertising banner and ask some friends to help you advertise it, although advertising a site (any kind of site) usually involves alot of hard work and patience.
Hey bigdad, Start putting your dating site link in your signature.... Search engine spiders DP forum pretty well....that will help you.... Then think about link exchange and on page optimizations.... PPC (if you have money) If you can get listed on the Search Engines organically (on top positions)....you would rock... So it may take some time...or long time...but its worth doing seo...
