How to promote a blog?

I have heard that posting on no dofollow blogs to increase traffic is useless.. is that right?

 

nofollow will not help for SEO indeed

 

You can get traffic directly from the comment.

Obviously if you leave comments like "great article" nobody will take notice of your url nearby, thats if an admin even approves it.

But if you show that you read what they posted and even read comments already made and then post a good comment, then its going to be useful.

I find natural commenting beats looking for blogs to comment on.

For example its not unusual for me to read a lengthly tutorial on a blog and even read every last comment to that tutorial, then post my own comment.

Time spent at that one article, probably over an hour, but im not there for the commenting, im there for the tut and it makes sense to make a nice comment at the end before i leave.

Consider that i could of replied to this thread with "yes thats right"

I highly recommend to submit your RSS feed to directories like feedagg.com for example, ping your blog after each new post, and sign up for some blog communitis, like MyBlogLog for example!

 

Constant updating the content will bring great results for your blog.

 

I have tried the GetAnswer (dot ) net forum. and posted 15 posts on Friday. But the becomes a directory from a forum.

I have just spent my valuable time on this domain.

 

guess im in the right track at all. i'll try tubemogul, dyou mean you video will be published to different tubesites? does it require me to register to all these tubesites?

 

Yahoo answer and SEO...these are the best one now.....Then try to join related community to your blog and then promote your blog......

You can try to submit to Huge directory besides Google and Yahoo and of course Dmoz, but I can offer you, that I can submit you Web/blog to offer 500 Directory...... of course there's a price, Pm me if you interest
