How to prevent email sent from Wordpress from going into spam box?

    Dear users,

Im using the Wordpress Newsletter plugin for my mailinglist, but when i send out a mailing (7K subscribers) I found out that lots of emails going into the spambox from the subscribers. This was not with the first mail, only the second mail that i sended. Mailings are always send in plain text.

I know that there are lots of mailing providers to solve this problem but they are to expensive in my opinion (300 dollar per month).
Is there a solution for this very big problem and what is the best batch quantity for mailings?

I have a VPS with my own IP adress and would like to send the mailings from my own VPS.
Does anyone have a solution for this?

    Thanks in advance.

Obviously, most of your emails have been detected as spam and, thus, redirected to the spam box.

This is the problem the spam filters that have been updated to easily detect emails from an unknown sender.

In order to avoid this kind of problem, try to avoid attachments and spammy words or phrases.

Spam filters are used and changed frequently to filter the spams and it is simple. I think you have to gather knowledge about the spammy words and phrases at the very first. Now, try to avoid those words and phrases! It happens for me too!

Are you sending out emails with your own Email server (with your own IP)? If yes, I would suggest you to try best Email marketing software to send the emails.

I'm not sure what email service is charging $300/month, but that is outrageous.

Anyways, Aweber and GetResponse are both very reliable services.

Personally, I would recommend Aweber. It is just $1 for the first month, then $19 per month after that. (I'm not affiliated with Aweber at all).

    Hope this helps.

Regardless of whatever email service you use....
You will still have the problem of emails going into spam boxes!
I do not care who you use or how much it costs you, it happens!

As been said, many ISPs use many different filters, using words etc.

So avoid a lot of emails sent to spam boxes (or stopped by an ISP) by checking your title.
And the words you use in your body.

And I am guessing here, but going by my ISP, it could be if you use too many spammy links in the body.

Were these 7,000 subscribers double opt-in from your web page?
The fact that your site is Wordpress is not relevant.

You said you sent out 7,000 emails and then ask how to do that with your VPS. So how did you send out the first 7,000 if you don't know how to do it again?

Sounds like spam to me. I could be wrong. Please clarify.

On the assumption that you are using a double opt-in approach (best practice and all that.....) then after a person hits the subscribe button can you send them to a page which gives them instructions on how to confirm and whitelist the email address you will be communicting with them from. That'd be the usual way to do it.
