How to prevent adsense from slowing down my site?

Hi all,

I apologize if this is a dumb question as I am new at all of this website stuff and everything I know has just been self taught through reading forums.

I have 2 websites / forums that I run google adsense on: https://www.camarov6.com & http://highperformancejunkies.com

On both sites I am trying to increase my page load speeds to help my site rank better. Trying to tackle that issue I started a thread here on this forum: https://forums.digitalpoint.com/threads/speeding-up-website-for-better-rankings.2854314/

As one of the suggestions it was brought up that google adsense is loading up on my site first and therefore slowing down my pageload speeds.

My question is - is there some kind of script I can add to the head / body / footer of my site to load the entire contents of the page, but then load the adsense ads up last? I was googling around and found some stuff, but I couldn't quite understand the script they were using and I am not sure I fully trusted the source either.

You need to optimize contents and JS.
What applications are you running?

Have you gone through this?
