    Hi DP,

I'm interested to buy domain name with PR, but I'm curious how do I keep the PR if I change all the content, or if I buy the domain without content. Is this possible?

If not, I wonder why people keep buying it in the domain marketplace. Anyone can shed a light please?

I suppose you have already answered all your questions. Moreover the PR might be Fake. If you want to do something good just do it yourself

Yes its better to do it ourselves, rank and build the domain. But I'm not sure I understand your other statement.

i do not think it is possible to preserve PR in long term. for a short time due to residual visitors and backlinks it might stay ,but if the domain is expired ,i suppose it is almost like building from scratch, with the benefit of residual backlinks . but seo is from begining if the content is different.

I must say it is very tough to maintain good PR for our domains. You got to be very accurate.

When a domain drops, google removes it PR, only the backlinks remain, so if you can get something up similar to the what the site had hosted before, you might get back the PR but ya, it will take time :) .

Always buy a domain before it expires, there are many auctions selling PR domains for a very low price.
