Hello. I've been using PHP for a few years. But I've decided to learn Java and to work as a Java software engineer. When I'm done with learning the syntax, I'd like to start working online for a few months. So I will have a little experience before applying for a real job. I've seen very, very few freelance projects using Java. So how can I work on Java projects online (may be I'd be okay to work for free or nearly free, the experience is what matters)?
hi modz - just decide what you want to do and start doing it by your self. You will face many problems at the begining, but as the time is passing you will become better.Java is opensource,so you have 99% chance to find what are you looking for by simply search + there are tons of java forums out there. I wish you a good luck!!!!
Yes you can use online forums to learn Java. That is the best way to getting information from discussion. And also you can use online tutorials for that. There are lots of online guide and tutorials available for JAVA. Just you have to try to specific search in Google to getting the information.
Thank you although I didn't asked about tutorials. I have where to read about Java from. How can I practice my Java skills online? Is there a lot of work for Java programmers in the freelance websites?
The most of freelance works are about php,but they are also less paid... People are usualy asking for desktop applications and they DON'T care what language you're using. Also with java you will find the networking mutch easier.I'm not pro,I'm also a learning programmer, but it's far easier than c++
