how to point my domain to my vps

    domain has been connected with my vps but not with that directory where it should to be .

    domain connected with this directory of apachi [​IMG] ( The default location for apache is /var/www/html/))
    and i want domain to connect with this . /home/admin/theyouthportal.net

    now what to do ?

    You may create a cPanel account for the domain.

    Okay, so you have the nameservers properly configured on your VPS and your domain is now pointing to those nameservers. Great! The next step is to go in and "Create a New Account" within WHM on your VPS (if you have cPanel/WHM installed on there)..Once this is done the domain should automatically point to home/YOURCPANELUSERNAME/public_html which would be the proper directory.

    Configure name server first, wait for at least 24 hours, if you are using Godaddy and Hostgator then you don't have to wait much for the configuration..

    After this, go to your hosting cpanel and add your domain name as addon domain name if you are using more than one domain name.

    Then you can create site, based on your preference of CMS etc.
