How to play a video file in a website?

    How can a particular user in our LAN play a video file in our apache server without relying to the video player installed on his/her computer such as media player.. For example I have a 3gp file and I want it played by all the users connected to our LAN without installing anything on their computers? I know you guys know this..Please help..

    You can't. There is no recent format that is universally playable on all pc's across multiple operating system versions, 3gp would generally require quicktime installed which it might not be. The most universal way would be to convert the video to flv and play back in a web page via flash.
    Gamerfreak hasn't actually read the question and is suggesting they all install VLC.

    Flash would be the most universal player for video
