How to plan SEO for an E-commerce Web portal ?

    How to do SEO for an e-commerce website (like http://www.topendelectronic.co.uk) where we have hundreds of internal pages and multiple hundred keywords ? So, how to manage and promote keywords for such particular products which keep on updating frequently according to new products release...

    For ecommerce SEO you can optimize every category instead of individual items and that can save you a lot of time.

    Hi Mikal,

    I run a few e-commerce sites so I took a quick look at your website. Some tips:

    - add a description to your category pages, like this one: http://www.topendelectronic.co.uk/tripods.html?SID=b7e2102b4cdedbe702a8ba54a398592b

    - Deep link your products by linking to similar products within the product descriptions. Use the proper anchor text of course.

    - Setup a blog on this site to aid in deep linking to your products.

    Optimize and promote category pages.
    Do SMO for category pages and individual product pages.
