Hey, I'm looking for some advice on how to start developing sites. I understand the whole domain, hosting, SEO, etc...aspects but just don't really know how to put my ideas and plans together properly. I'm a writer but have little experience with making sites. The only things I've done (to an extent) that relate to building sites are the following: use FTP software to upload content to site, put hosting and Wordpress on a domain, and make minor edits to free templates. So basically the point I'm trying to get across is that I'm a beginner to creating sites. I also find learning coding to be very difficult and have tried numerous times without any success. I do have a decent amount of knowledge on the SEO'ing aspect and am more than capable of building up qualty back links myself. It's mostly getting the "physical" product up that has me stressed. I plan on building various niche sites (mostly on acne, weight loss, etc...specific topics/keywords though) but also have interest in making affiliate sites which offer dating site, web hosting, and other reviews. Instead of making this thread way too long I'll just sum everything up in four questions: 1. Is there an eBook or website which provides all the basic info (step by step) that's needed to set up and code a website? It would have to cover even the simple topics such as how to add new articles to the site and how to get the most out of keywords. 2. Is it more profittable to make only websites profitting from Adsense (or similar PPC sites) or to profit from affilate sites (if this is preferred is cj.com good?) 3. If the plan is to invest $150-300 in these websites how much of the money should go towards what? The content is free since I'm a writer. The domain(s) and hosting will add up a few bucks but what's the most profittable investment to make? 4. Content is defintely king but is there such thing as too much? I can easily add 5-10k words of fresh content to the site every single day but is the additional profit created from doing so worth the effort? Would it be better to add 1k words of fresh content per day and just have a large network of sites? So how much is too much and how much is too little?
