    I 've tried Fiverr, and Craigslist; I can't afford a huge expert, just someone whose brain I can pick for a few hours at time when needed, and I can't use the ad function on this site; how to get it?

    If you want an SEO expert to consult, the reality is
    that you will have to fork out money. Check for
    any service providers who are selling SEO services
    in the Buy and Sell trade section and perhaps you
    can negotiate with them on what you want.

    A couple of hours with even a small-time SEO expert is going to cost you plenty, and you want them to be on tap so you can bug them as necessary?

    Has anyone got time for that? What would you charge that would make it ok to have such interruptions?

    I'd recommend doing lots of reading and experimenting and forget the mentor idea.
