If you want to ping your site, I would recommend that you use pingler.com. For me, it is the more effective way to ping your site.

the best way to pinging is use plugin maxblogpress pingler, will automatic your article pinging ones per articles, without manually setting

 

if you use wordpress CMS you can add an auto plugin. and if not just go to pingler and submit your site

Hi guys, I use software to ping, I know you can do it manually, but it is a bit tedious to do it one search engine at a time, but mostly I'm probably a bit lazy My question is, how often do you ping? I have heard that 'over-pinging' can get you banned or blocked. Others say only to do it whenever you have alot of new content. I ping around every three days. Does anyone have some personal experience with this? Thanks

 

Pingler is what I like to use, since they have 89 sites all get on with their default. Often ping sites that could have a quarter of the sites do not work.

Ping, simply means that you are alert search engines that have new content that needs to be indexed. This makes the Google bots to crawl your content a bit faster instead of waiting days or even weeks in a queue, if I understand correctly.

 

Pingler.com is good. Reasonable price to set up regular auto pinging for a batch of url's.

 

I don't think this is viable.. this is only possible within a LAN network (maybe wireless, too?)..
