Humm, this is a pretty indepth question. Keywords - As stated before, keep your title short and sweet. The video description on the other hand should contain as much information as possible. Type in as many keywords into the keyword box as you can. I do not blog that much, I own a forum. These videos are used to drive traffic to the forum and used to start threads. Several of the discussion threads are started only with videos and a short description of what the video is about. Upload more then 1 video - if you only upload 1 video, you are missing a very important column on youtube. And that is the "More from "your username here"". When you have lots of videos, when someone is watching your vids, more will appear in a right hand column. Try not to be boring - Nobody likes a boring video.
This is really such great advice to anyone looking to market their business with videos. It has played a huge role in my business as well and been quite effective for me. The power of video marketing is amazing. Your viewer can build more trust in you, they can see the person behind the words because they are putting themselves out there for the world to see. The only thing I would say to people wanting to use videos to market is to not make it like a commercial and just advertise your business. You need to show them the value you have to offer them and don't just hand out your link and tell them to sign up with you. Teach people something, share your experiences, help people. Those are the kinds of video where people will subscribe. People are not going to subscribe to your video if all they can expect is to get pitched at in every one.
Can i edit dvdrip video clips like this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a30Usvl-c1M i have a lot of video clips dvdrip in my pc, can i edit them and make them mine.
good stuff. I'm interested if anyone does anything to get there videos to show up in the google search results. That seems to be the most effective way of getting traffic to your site. You get your videos on the front page and have them go to youtube to watch your video which has urls to your site. so my question is what do you do to get your videos in the google results?
Great post. But how come you have no advertising on your site? Where's your revenue coming from??? I would've thought with over 1000 active mebmers you would advertise.
My site is supported through paid memberships, amazon sales and adsense on the youtube videos. The adsense ads are only visible on youtube. I take pride in saying my site is 100% ad and banner free. The ads that are on the site are posted as announcements at the top of the forum sections. And the ads are Amazon items pulled straight from my amazon associate account. For certain sites, ads are appropriate. On the type of site I want to promote, ads would be degrading. I see no reason to put ads and banners on my site, when my members pay me not to. Google will index the videos, you do not have to worry about that. Keep in mind, Google has a financial interest in driving traffic to youtube.
thanks for those good infos on youtube traffic! i hope to get millions views like that! it would need lots of time for it though.I will surely apply those on my youtube accunt. Never The less , Cheers

Definitely an awesome post, considering I'm trying to launch my own series at the moment. Hopefully I can become a YT Partner one day.
My policy, for my productions - if I did no take the picture or film it, I do not use it. At one time I borrowed stuff from other videos, or out of copyright music. In the last few months I have changed up the way I do my videos. My videos are 100% my property and my original productions. If you use video clips or music made by someone else, the video is not 100% your property. So if the question of copyright infringement came up, what would you tell the people asking the questions? I know what I would tell them - that is my video, I filmed it, edited it, and it is 100% my property. Its not 90% my property, its not 99% - its 100%.
From the first post of this thread: 2 weeks later on June 2nd at 4:00 pm central US time Videos Uploaded: 272 Video Views: 1,212,862 Channel Views: 46,454 Subscribers: 2,044 In 2 weeks, my videos have been viewed 91,342 views. Keep in mind that each video is watermarked with the website name, plus there are introduction and closing credits on the videos. Lets subtract a few thousand views for people who watch more then one video. Lets give that a rough estimate that 50,000 - 75,000 people saw my website address. Cost to me, zero dollars - besides my time. Some of the videos I have to drive to a certain location to film. So I might have spent $50 on gas. But I was going to that location anyway for other reasons. Now then, someone tell me this aint powerful advertising - when you can get your website name seen 91,342 times in 2 weeks and at no cost to you.
