How to pimp my Dave Eggers' Spy Store Blog Entry?

    Hi all,

I've got a photo essay on a Secret Agent Supply Store designed by 826CHI, a tutoring program founded by ulta-hip novelist Dave Eggers. The store opened on Friday, I put the story up on Monday and to the best of my knowledge I'm the only one online with these pictures. I believe there are a lot of people out there who would be interested in getting a peek around Dave Eggers' latest design project and the photo essay includes some really funny moments.

How do we get this in front of more people?

    Here's the link:

    http://www.methodsreporter.com/2007/02/27/826chi-boring-store-eggers/

Here's what I've done so far:

    1. I Stumbled it. So far it has been stumbled by three other people. Could some DP members maybe stumble it?

    2. I posted links to it in two forums I visit regularly, Millarworld.net and BendisBoard, both are comic book themed but full of people interested in good writing and quirky places.

Any other forums where people might be interested in visual design, store design, Dave Eggers, after school tutoring programs?

    3. I submitted the entry's link to I-Am-Bored.com, Fazed.net, Digg.com and LinkSwarm.com. It has been Dugg 8 times so far (link) and to the best of my knowledge has not been posted on any of those three link sites.

Are there other link sites I don't know about who might be interested?

    4. I did a Google Blog search for 826CHI, the name of the organization who built the store and posted comments in any blog post that mentioned it, including links to the story.

Results as of Wednesday afternoon at 4pm CST: around 900 readers. Most of these, 500 or so, have been stumble traffic. About 100 have come from being linked on BuzzFeed.com. 100 have been direct links from e-mails I've sent out.

What else can be done to put this in front of more people? I really do feel its a strong piece of photojournalism that would put a smile on the face of just about anyone. How can we get it out there more?

Let's talk. Perhaps this will be useful to other people trying to bring in traffic.

Not sure if this really helps but I went ahead and added The Boring Store into my database: http://www.planjam.com/review/99/2758

It's won't come up through the planning interface since we are about a month away from adding Chicago...but it will be indexed regardless. If you're interested in exchanging links...I would be more than happy to include a link to your weblog/photo piece (in the additional info section).

Let me know if you're interested.

Thanks. I'll check out your site when you get it up and running. Let me know.

Anyone interested in exchanging Stumbles? You stumble my story and I'll stumble your site? I've got some fairly large Stumble power...
